Star Wars is one of my favorite movies (as you can see by the several items I have pictured above haha; R2-D2 measuring cups, kitchen timer, and Bop-It game, light saber tongs, Death Star popcorn popper, & of course the movies), so when I was asked to make a Star Wars baby shower cake, I was ecstatic! This is definitely one of my favorite creations! It was so much fun coming up with the idea. She gave me free range and I let my imagination go free.Yoda was created using a combination of gum paste and fondant. Of course since it was a baby shower, he wouldn’t be complete without a diaper bag and pushing a baby carriage. Most of the accessories are made of just fondant, such as the baby, his R2-D2 and C-3PO toys, the diaper bag items, and light sabers. Added a few chocolate rocks as well. Had to include a few movie quotes so the bibs that said “I speak Wookie” and “Judge me by my size do you?”, as well as “A Jedi He Will Be”, on the cake, were just the right touch. I added the baby’s name to the diaper bag, for a personal touch.
