Winnie the Pooh

For my son’s 3rd birthday, he requested a Winnie the Pooh birthday party. Let me tell you, unless it’s a baby shower or a 1st birthday, Winnie the Pooh party supplies are very hard to come by. So my wheels went to turning, and I decided to do a picnic theme with some Winnie the Pooh decorations and of course a Winnie the Pooh birthday cake. With thoughts of Winnie the Pooh, come thoughts of honey so naturally I decided to try my hand at a gravity defying cake of a honey pot pouring “honey” out onto the cake.

The weather was perfect for an outdoor party so we had a kids picnic table out in the yard made of a couple stacked pallets covered in a tablecloth and each child had their own picnic basket lunch. There was fruit and veggies from Rabbit’s garden, Chocolate Meringue Beehives, and White Chocolate Honeycomb, among the Winnie the Pooh picnic themed food, and of course sweet tea, because in the South, we always have sweet tea :).
