This was a cake request that I made for a young mans dad’s birthday. It was made to resemble the Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon album cover. It turned out rather well and was a fairly easy cake to make. It was a 3-layer 10 inch round cake, crumb coated and covered in black fondant. Then the top decorations were piped on with buttercream icing. Only one batch of buttercream icing was needed for the crumb coat and the piping (colors used: white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple). A paint brush was used to make the effect along the inside of the triangle.
